From shrinking sea ice to deadly air pollution, there's never a shortage of bad news about the environment.
But now some good news — satellite data shows the ozone hole in the atmosphere over Antarctica is slowly healing.
The data indicate that depletion of the protective ozone layer over Antarctica was about 20 percent lower during the 2016 than in 2005.
According to NBC News, experts say the mending of the hole is due to international regulations on CFCs, adopted beginning in 1987.
