That's what the top infectious disease expert in the U.S., Dr. Anthony Fauci, is calling Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine candidate that is more than 90 percent effective.
In a briefing Monday, ...Fauci said it will have a major impact on everything in regards to the virus.
He added the finding "validates" the messenger RNA platform, ...which could indicate another mRNA vaccine developed by Moderna could also yield positive results.
The tech injects genes from so-called "spike proteins" into healthy cells to induce an immune response.
Pfizer is still awaiting safety data, ...which is expected later this month.
